We didn't have a very good season but I still want Kirk for our head coach. Winning means a lot to me, however, having a class act representing my school is much more important. Bunch of bowls and still one of the better programs around. I am happy to hang my hat with the Ferent outfit every day.

Alford is a sleazebag. I don't hate KF as a man but I sure as hell despise him as a head football coach.
Indeed Iowa fans, what do you want your football program to be? When there's no accountability for the people in charge this is what you get; mediocrity at best.
Yeah, with the morons who still think he's the man even without those 4 regulation points. If you just now figured out he sucks then you're just as clueless as the people who still say "In Kirk we trust".
This is a pretty good statement about KF now.

You do know it's possible to have both rather than have to chose.
And Iowa isn't one of the better programs around. The fact that you made the statement in bold qualification proves it. And there's evidence to show mediocrity abounds.
I don't hate Ferentz. The time has come to move on.

Nope. Wouldn't waste my time trolling. Love the Hawks. Disappointed we missed a few opportunities but know about our coaches,players,and administration. Not perfect, but they never are.
Serious question: Would you rather be 8-4 or 9-3 with a coach Pelini? Not me.

I guess I disagree with about every premise in your post.
What makes you think we cannot find a coach that is a class act? Should we keep this coach for fear we cannot find another that is a class act?
What is your definition of "...one of the better programs around,"? What is there about our program that makes you think we are one of the better programs around? Have we won more Big Ten games than we have lost over the last how many years?
Having "a bunch of bowls" simply means there have been a lot of seasons where you have had at least a winning record. Having at least a winning record, and make no mistake because that is all we have had for the most part since 2006, doesn't make you one of the better programs around. Not even close.

I should make it clear I also don't hate KF as a person. I just hate his coaching style and where the program is.
Alford was on a different level because he was a sleaze bag but in terms of wanting Ferentz to stay I want him gone just as much as I wanted Alford gone. Right after that NIT loss when Pierce was a freshman I was done with Alford.
This loss put the nail in the coffin for me wanting Ferentz gone. Buyout be damned. Just fire him and the entire staff.
