I am PUMPED for a Moral Victory this weekend!

Thought they said during the Goopher game that Iowa has like the 5th most games decided by a TD or less since '99 with 96-ish.
What was even funnier was that 0 of the other teams with close games on that list were good football teams.

Playing close games is how you turn fumbles into surefire losses against Mac schools. It's how you turn poor third down percentages into just missing by inches vs. PSU or MSU. Playing close games rarely leads to winning consistently. Yet it's Hawkeye philosophy.

Playing close games is how you make a OC freak out and later apologize to a replay official because it's such a big call in a game that shouldn't be close. By the way I also had to apologize too as an avid band watcher asked me to quit complaining about the call so he could hear the music at halftime. It might have been the first time I realized people buy tickets to see the band. Me and Brian learned a lot last Saturday and were better men for it.

Beathardteams is MIA. Anybody see him?

Is he trying to get his name changed?

our O-line won the game and our defense was on point... wadley had space to make plays..great play calling

but....... i feel this thread helped the team get PUMPED

Time to man up and admit how good that crow tastes you negative twats..... FIFTY BURGER

Did you call an Iowa victory and putting up fiddy? If you did, were you serious? Be honest, now. This has to be one of the more surprising outcomes of any college game the last few seasons. I mean....and this is the surprising part...OSU didn't have a chance. THAT....no one could have predicted. But we'll all take it.:) For the record, i picked OSU 49-13. I thought they were on a roll.

Yep. We saw a 21st century offensive attack. this OL is a pass pro OL in the making. They did an outstanding job against one of the better DL's in the country; only 1 sack and NS had plenty of time. NS is our best player on offense and this should be our game plan for the next 2+ seasons. We saw how to set up the run with the pass. We have almost 250 rush yards by mostly throwing on 1st down. I will that, relatively speaking, this was a masterpiece by BF. I have so much more optimism now. Having an offense that can put up 35+ allows for so many more opportunities and with a D that will give up only 17-20 per game; you gonna win, baby.

If we can somewhat replace the 3 LB and JJ next year... big things!

For now, let's keep rolling and win out!

Not usually a hindsight guy, but the "what if" is killing me now. OSU, MSU, NW games....oh man.

by JJ do you mean Josh Jackson? He's only a JR. Josey Jewell, I get what you mean. I think next season we'll have a more dominant DL that will allow the new lb's to get comfortable during the non con.

Jackson is playing his way to first round...hes been unreal. I hope your right on the Dline. Jewell, Nieman, and yes Bower are all playing pretty high level...with Josey being incredible.

one thing we know is that whichever 3 new lb's play next season, they won't see the field unless they are assignment sound.

I never said we were going to lose. Iowa at home always has a chance and if you haven't figured that out by now then I don't know what to tell you.

I was a bit tongue in cheek, py, NO ONE believed we could win and the way we did. But the nature of being an Iowa fan is; well, maybe we can. :)
