I am fine with a play in game!

Please explain: If you are claiming that Iowa is not yet in the NCAA tournament, then how are they seeded? I see a #11 for that column. Also, there are numerous teams that qualify according to your definition but have lower seed numbers than Iowa. I don't get it. But, I am certain you can explain clearly enough that even I can understand. Thanks!

Simple, they aren't playing on Thursday/Friday when the actual tourney starts.

Unless the NCAA has changed what they call those games "play in" says it all with no further explanation needed.

We made the NCAA... I don't see it called a "play in" game anywhere. It shows it as a 1st round game and the field of 68.

Thanks, Champ...I looked at the NCAA official tournament bracket at their website and there is no such thing as a play in game, as you have clearly stated. Probably a media addition? Other than this website, I can't find any information that says that Iowa is not in the NCAA tournament. Just thought the guys who answered above knew something...my bad.

They are playing to get the 11 seed. I don't consider them a 11 seed right now. Sorry, but this play in game stuff is not the tourney. Who fills out brackets for play in games.

I really don't care ... but some people are going to say we didn't make the NCAA if these are 'play in games"

/shrug

But those links are nice ect but I don't see them called play in games on any of the brackets.

If we lose Wed...will it matter if we "made" it...

They need to win for me to "feel" like they made it. Its only my opinion.

I think losing the "play in" game will be a fitting end for a team that was once in the top ten and then folded like a cheap lawn chair when their Twitter got taken away. (Or whatever silly reason - and yes whatever reason(s) finally if ever come to light they will be silly when compared to what other teams have overcome)
