It is clear (following the "pep rally" video and the resignation statement) that Paterno doesn't get the point that a football game is so unimportant right now in light of the situation but it is also clear that the Penn State fans are equally stupid.

The fans backing Paterno will be cheering for him while wearing blue shirts to raise awareness for child abuse.

How about Penn State giving 100% of the gate revenue to a child abuse organization? What are the chances of that happening? There's your hypocrisy.
