Sounds like he's out awhile...

Scott Frost says Maurice Washington is not a part of the team this week. "You won’t see him being a part of our plans in the immediate future," Frost said. Certain things are non-negotiable, according to the coach.

Saw on twitter from some nebraska insiders that he was skipping practices and showing up to meetings smelling like weed.

Funny that Frost would toss him for that but not for sending child porn rape videos to the chick who was getting raped.

And the fact that he played at all this season is evidence that in Lincoln certain things are negotiable

Apparently, he left to California for the bye week and never returned. Missed a bunch of practice. Frost is still holding the door open (rumor has it). Such a bad example for the kids who actually bust their rear-ends. No wonder Nebraska consistently under-performs their talent level. Frost has handled this very poorly.

It's all to help the kids.

Frosty:
"I wish things would be a little different," Frost said. "Coach (Tom) Osborne was this way. He wasn't quick to crumble up kids and throw them away. Some of the kids who are in those situations, if they go out of this program, that road doesn't lead to very many good places. As long as I'm here, I'm going to try to help these young men as much as I can. That's the promise I make when I sit in their living room and try to help them no matter what. There are certain things they know if they do, I'm not going to help them and they're on their own. I want what's best for all these guys and we're going to try to continue to help them when they can be helped. There always comes a point where you have to throw up your hands and say 'we tried,' but until then, we want to do what's right by them. I think that's the right thing to do.

"We certainly tried to do everything we could for Mo, and hopefully it works out."

Unless you're winning NCs, which they're not (spoiler alert, Husker fans), letting a guy get away with this for any length of time can be destructive to the rest of the team, i.e., he can get away with it, why can't I?

Is that a real quote? He contradicts himself hard within a span of 2 sentences. Talking out both sides of his mouth, trying to appeal to everyone.

Yes, that is straight from the presser. I just liked that he admitted he is going to maintain the Saint Tom Nebraska Rehabilitation Program for Wayward and Troubled Youth(if you can help us win games).

Paraphrased “If they can score touchdowns, we will do everything in our power to make sure they stay eligible to score touchdowns, because we are such wonderful, thoughtful, caring ppl here at Debby”

.....also , and I paraphrase...

"But only if they are good football players", "if 3rd string, we'll make an example of them"

F'n joke.

What sort of parent would let their kid play for a HC that allowed a player like Washington with such toxic character flaws to even suit up, let alone play?
Dear Husker Nation,
Accept this reality: For the foreseeable future, Nebraska B-ball and Wrestling both have far more potential for B1G relevance than Nebby-FB.
Embrace the suck.

Maybe it is cause he wouldn't share???

It will have to be part circus or no one will really watch.

No one will probably watch anyway. Its destined for failure even if it somehow starts off well.

I will give the XFL this, they're attacking this thing the right way. If you're going to start up a professional football league your best course of action is not to try to compete with the NFL and getting professional players.

Its attacking college football and trying to get their players. Obviously the popularity of college football dwarfs anything the XFL could ever dream of but they can offer something college football can't. I just don't think they have the funds to keep it going long enough to build a fan base and of course they've always going to lose their top draws to the NFL once they hit the 3 years out of high school NFL draft limit.
