It's between us and Neb. We can't seriously lose him to Nebraska can we?

It hurts us that his last visit before decision was to Nebraska and then attended the spring game in front of 60,000 fans. So he saw the support fans have for the team, granted they have none for basketball but let's hope Fran has told him that. They also just signed a guard last week and have Glover offered as well. Whoever Nebraska gets we will get the other one I feel.
You do realize that if Nebraska had beaten ISU once or twice they probably would have been in the NCAA tournament, right?
Nebraska is a much improved program and will have a real shot at the NCAA tournament next year with the pieces they have coming back.
So yeah, we can seriously lose him to Nebraska and it wouldn't be a shocker.
Why do people get so surprised when players don't come to Iowa? It has been the one of the worst, if not the worst stretches in Iowa basketball history.
Amazing that people had the reaction to Cezar going to OSU when they were an NIT team and are bringing in the No. 4 player in the country. How can Iowa match up to that? Hey we have Melsahn Basabe...really?
Basabe is going to be a really good player when all said and done, but LeBryan Nash is really good today.
Stop being surprised and be happy with the fact that Iowa was able to secure one Top 150 player this year when I don't think a lot of people thought that Fran would sign a Top 150 player in his first full recruiting season.
Player development is more important than player rankings anyway. Tell VCU that they didn't have good enough players to make the Final Four becuase they weren't highly rated. Say the same for Butler, it matters more of what a coaching staff can do with players once they are on campus than all the accolades they have coming out of high school. It is nice for fans to brag about, but I would rather brag that Iowa doesn't have a bunch of 4-star players and is in the top 4 of the Big Ten year in and year out.
First off, Nebraska is not a much improved program. They have consistently been an NIT program since the Nee era and Sadler is basically treading water with the program. They now lose the main cog of their offense and they will be a lower tiered Big Ten team next season. Finally, somehow their fan base is more apathetic towards their basketball program than Iowa.
In regards to player development, this continues to get overplayed in the college basketball talk around here. Development does have its place in basketball but the teams who are constantly in the top 4 of the Big Ten are also bringing in the best classes every single year. Football is a completely different beast in regards to this topic.
The bottom line is that Fran needs to start closing on these players or it will continue to be stuck in neutral as well. Nebraska is a program that Iowa should be able to out recruit, especially with the availability of immediate playing time.
The Hawkeyes need glover much more than Hubbard, we have plenty of wings and off guards but it is important to get another point to play with and give Cartwright some rest!
Supposedly the staff feels Hubbard can play the 1, 2, or 3. I think Fran wants guys that can score.
