How's this for irony?

We do have a lot of NFL talent. I have said that before.
I haven't followed cfb as close as I would like because,......... well my life is a shit storm right now.
So I don't know who is eligible and who's not. So I don't know who they are talking about. But we all know we have two TE's that have what it takes to get a shot. Nate will be best off staying for sure.
We usually have an ol or two.
What is really exciting me is exactly what the title to the thread says. Next year we get Dixon who I have to believe has been working his tail off and is chomping at the bit. I'm glad to finally see McDonald's name brought up. We have so much young talent. Our CB's will be more experienced. Our lb and hybrid lb's will be more experienced.
Next year is super exciting for an already salty Defense.
On O?? Idk. Wtf??
Our wr's will have yet another year. Our rbsr will have another year. Nate will have another year. Most of our ol will have another year.

But holy smokes, they have got to really want it and push hard to get it. That starts yesterday.
No more of this tom foolery, there are a lot of guys who can make it into the next level and they are going to have to push harder than they ever have.
They are going to have to step up for the team.

Oh and I do think we need to open up the qb competition.
Talk to Nate and tell him, he's not losing his job, but its just that they will expect to see a lot of improvement in that position by spring.
But that should go for every position.

And for God's sake can someone block someone?
Anyone???
(Sorry I had to :) )

Don’t forget Rastetter...
Problem is, unless its someone who is out of eligibility, they all would be better with another year.
All of them.
Unless it's high first round.
Why?? Remember last year?? Expected low first round slides clear back to 3rd?
That means projected 3rd could go unselected.

That's what I mean, a whole bunch of upper guys and new talent could make it. Could be record numbers over the next several years.
But that's thier choice. Go the extra mile now. Stay disciplined.
Harder schedule next year equals a greater opportunity.

Start NOW!!

Oh, but he's a specialist. All he does is sack quarterbacks
:)

Kirk will find some half a star walk-on from Denison or Mediapolis or Strawberry Point to play the running downs. Or how about What Cheer.

Wait until Beth Mowins has to pronounce that hometown in her broadcast. She will sound like a screeching cat in heat.
Actually that is all he does. Watch him against the run, he is not good at all. Not saying he won't be at some point, but right now he is not.

Sure we will be more experienced, but the ceiling is only so high with some of these guys. Stanley is what he is, actually he is regressing. Our receivers? Well there is simply a lack of talent at all of our skill positions, so not a lot of hope there. RB? We have 3 backs that if you put them all together, still don't equal a decent running back. We need a playmaker at rb, and simply don't have it. Defensively our linebackers are just bad, and the lack of recruiting is showing there. I think Colbert has a lot of potential, MacDonald supposedly as well. The line should be good, but we will still lack a pass rush, which kills us.
