Iowa will win if they have one or zero turnovers
Yup yup and yup. Converting 3rd downs and keeping drives alive are big. As awesome as hitting a couple of big plays would be (and I hope we do) What your saying is what wins games. Limits their possessions and opportunities to come back. It's winning football in a nutshellThe other key stat is Time of Possession. This will mean a couple things. You are prob moving the ball controlling the line of scrimmage and you are most likely converting a nice 3rd down conversion rate.
Hopefully Iowa can get into the 2nd and 5 or 4 situations.

Exactly.....This is the big house and the big time we're talking people. Time to show up and kick ass. Be aggressive, b b aggressive (no, I wasn't a male cheerleader in high school). Take some shots. We have a good line, and good receivers, so Stanley just needs to play catch with these guys. However, if we're running, don't fucking stop. POUND THE ROCK!! In the words of late, great Jim Zabel, "hug those radios Hawk fans", this game will go right down to the wire and Iowa wins it.I think the pressure is on KF and Stanley...how will they do with pressure increase, season on the line. Critical decisions and execution will be called for. Show time!
Hopefully Iowa goes for it...and avoids bumbling it away.
I am hopeful this could be THE year!
You act like Michigan just sucks and we are far superior to them. If Iowa gifts them the game? We have played one road game against a bad ISU team, and probably should have lost. Going to Michigan is a whole different story. Patterson is a better qb than Purdy, and Michigan has the most talented athletes at receiver we will see all year. Michigan had a horrible outing against a very good Wisconsin team. They then destroyed Rutgers, so its not like they are still reeling from the Wisky game. They have better talent all over the field, and if they play to their capabilities it will be very difficult for us to win this game even if we play flawlessly. Stanley will have to play lights out for us to win this game. Hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.I don't know, I just kind of feel there is maybe a little to much fear/apprehension going on with this game. Can we really even call Michigan a blue blood anymore? Same with Nebraska.
That is not to say that we should not take a trip to Ann Arbor lightly. Can Michigan win this game? Sure.....if Iowa gifts them the game and does not take the game seriously. So far, Iowa has done very well on not turning the ball over this year and this staff rarely has Iowa not prepared for playing Michigan.
Just because poor little jimmy is in trouble does not mean it is his birth right to win this game?
Win one for Jimmy and save his job? Well...…….
Apparently, at least even one of his own players recently did not seem to mind a twitter post about his own coach being fired.
Punch them in the mouth, limit big plays on defense (force some turnovers) and don't the ball over and we should be just fine in the end.
I think if Michigan was the real deal, it would have showed up more in Bucky Land.
The Clowns were suppose to be pre-ordained against us to. Didn't happen.
Until proven otherwise, I'm going to say we are the better team and we should come out of there 5-0.
Michigan, yes, given their decent win totals and obvious advantages in recruiting, but they obviously are not doing enough with top talent. They haven’t had a coach that could really cut it in a while. Nebraska just fucking sucks. They’ve lost their status, leaving the Big 12 was a terrible decision. There’s nothing as beneficial to a team’s prosperity than playing in a week conference.I don't know, I just kind of feel there is maybe a little to much fear/apprehension going on with this game.
