The crap you say. No he wasn't plowing people over, but when the line opened a hole he certainly could run between the tackles.I’m not surprised at all that AW didn’t get drafted. He can’t run between the tackles which means his role as an NFL back would be a 3rd down running back. There are tons of guys that are faster than him and can do things in space. Look at the kid the Bears drafted last year out of a small college. There are plenty of guys that had great college production that just couldn’t translate it to the NFL. I think Hawkeye fans had serious blinders on here with AW or just don’t fully understand the NFL game.
Granted his skills were in the open field and there aren't many who could match him there, but he certainly got plenty of needed yards between the tackles or in traffic. Have you ever seen him play??
