How the hell did Cook's tip-in count?

I was dumbfounded, flabbergasted, and stupefied, that Cook's tip-in was counted in the Neb game. Clearly, a foul was called way before he tipped the ball in. Are the officials able to look at that play? Didn't seem that they did.

Head scratcher.o_O

I might be wrong. I thought they counted it.
They counted it, but I thought it was goaltending on nebby, not the tip in. I wasn't listening at that time so not sure.
Nebraska took it off rim and then cook tipped it in

they counted it - watching it unfold in the 2nd row right behind the bench - I am convinced that the wrath of Fran from a bad call earlier had those refs scurred

It was a foul on Iowa, I think Jok, but, yeah, typical stupid refs, never got anything right all night long...;)

I didn't notice a goaltending on Nebraska. They DID somehow miss the goaltending on Baer's block (as awesome as it was) when he clearly nailed the rim with his hand. So either way, Iowa was fortunate to be saved two points very early in the game that may have made a difference late.

They showed the replay a bunch and every time I was watching the tip in compared to when the hand went up. On the last one I noticed it looked like the Nebraska player hit the original shot off the rim before the tip in. I never rewound to watch again tho so wasn't sure.

Baer's wasn't goaltending though. He hit the rim on his follow through which isn't goaltending. The announcers even explained why it wasn't.

I don't think the TV announcers ever mentioned anything about goal-tending on the play, but it makes sense.

First, that's horrible commentary. It's not the responsibility of the under ref who called the foul to follow the shot. That's what the other two refs do on the whistle.

Second, no way the other two refs call Cook's tip good. They had to call goaltending. Miles seems to say "goaltending" and then points to the score table for review.
