I couldn't make it to the spring game but got a twitter update on my phone "Fantastic turnout today!"

How many people were there??? It sounds like ALOT more than usual.

I saw a picture from my buddy and it looks like it was a great turnout. Good to see all the people out to support the Hawkeyes. This could be another special season lets just hope the players keep their motivation and concentration throughout the season......

I was a the game and I think there were more than the announced 23k. Not quite sure how they cam eup with that number but I guessed a bit higher.

The press box side was 95% full and the south EZ was 40% full.

I am guessing closer to 30k.

Great weather, great time, can't wait until FB season.

They probably got their numbers from the amount of canned food brought. One item equalled one person. That would work except for people like me who totally forgot about the donation aspect. My boys and me would not be counted then. I am sure others forgot or did not know about it too.
