How many will be at Ross Ade?

It is amazing how much Purdue fell off the map since the Joe Tiller days. 15 years ago, Purdue was the most exciting team in the conference. Basketball on grass. Drew Brees leads Purdue to the Rose Bowl. Then in 2003 Kyle Orton has Purdue 5-0 and all Purdue needs to do is run out the clock against Wiscy to go to 6-0, Orton does a bootleg to get the first down, but fumbles. Wiscy picks up the ball and returns it for game winning touchdown. Purdue goes on to lose 4 in a row, and Purdue and has never been the same since. Tiller eventually quits but Purdue was still averaging 50k+ at the time.

Then purdue hires Danny Hope instead of Kevin Sumlin. Purdue completely bottoms out under Hope.

Anyway, it all goes back to that 1 play, the Kyle Orton fumble. I have never seen a program's fortune change so much on just 1 play.

So it is pretty easy for Iowa to turn into Purdue without the right hire to follow KF

That is why you never pick a coach based upon him having the same facial hair as the last coach. A man with a mustache has something to hide. In Tiller's case is was a quiet confidence, in Hope's it was incompetence.

Very wise. When the time comes for Iowa to find a new coach I hope you find a spot on the search committee.
:D

Yup, going with my daughter.

Paid more than I should have through the Purdue athletic office. Don't care.

45 yard line, home side, 22 rows up. Perfect.

Role Hawks.

I remember when Hope went to his native Georgia for almost an entire recruiting class....I thought they were going to be loaded with super-athletes....did not seem to pan out. Sumlin seems like a no-brainer now, but not sure he could perform magic without Texas recruits he has now at A & M.

Purdue really does have a great football legacy...better than Iowa, really. Leroy Keyes was such a stud, Len Dawson, Phipps, Hermann, Brees, ect...wish Iowa had some of those QBs over the years. I want to beat them this weekend, but then hope that Hazell makes some progress...seems like a good guy. They have some good skill players, fast. Their d-tackle leads the league in sacks. Their pass rush got good last weekend. Hawks better come ready to battle....beating Iowa would make their season ...a third win would exceed last years total already. I think they can beat NW in WL later in the season...and maybe Ill....and go into the IU game with a shot at a bowl. Lets not let them start that this weekend.

Growing up, hearing Mike Alstott's and Eric Hunter's name as well.

Thought about going, but don't want to get up at 2 a.m to go. Suppose I could leave tonight and drive half way , and get a motel room. I am a band dir. so can't leave until 8:00 p.m or so.
