Below is what I would like to see happen:
Using a total of 65 offensive plays per game, how many touches would like like to see each of the following players get?
ARob - 12 = #2 RB after ISU game, alternating possessions with Jewell.
Hampton - 14 = #1 RB starting with Arizona game. A few more receptions this year.
DJK - 7 = All of these should be receptions, except DJK returning the opening kick off!
McNutt - 6 = Throw him the sideline fly routes and fades all day!
Sandeman - 4 = Punt returns and the occasional reception here and there. He's a Senior...
Cheney - 4 = Kick off returns and the occasional deep shot down the field. He's a Senior...
Reisner - 5 = Use him the same way Myers and Moeaki were used the past few years.
CJ - 3 = Get him in the open field on rollouts and such as he was used to this in high school
Davis - 4 = Use him on comebacks and underneath routes so he can use his size vs db's.
Morse - 2 = Play action in short yardage sets, and the occasional draw in the shotgun sets.
Rogers - 4 = Get him a few carries when we are between the 20's to get his feet wet.
I would like to see the upper-classmen really get the touches when it matters and just get the youngsters some touches once we are up, and not in a position where a fumble could put the defense in a tough spot. Seniors have that urgency and desperation to make plays!
