I'm lucky to be an introvert. I haven't been to a wedding since '07 and that was my best friend's. Before that it was a high school classmate's in the 90's.
I have a big family spread out all over hell. Lots of cousins all over the place. But they all got married like 10 plus yrs ago most of em. I don't foresee anymore weddings till their kids are old enough and that'll be awhile. Hell I'm old enough now and far enough away from them all that I can send cash in a card and get away with it

MSU is the only Big Ten team I've never seen in person.
I was trying to figure out who I've never seen. I've seen all of the big ones. Not sure about teams like Rutgers or Maryland. Probably haven't seen them. Have no desire to other than to say I've seen them all. Used to go to a lot of games before we had kids. Had kids, had a head FB coach have practice on Saturdays (unless he had tickets to ISU's game), and had to narrow it down to 1 or 2 games per year. The kids are older now so it's easier to get away....until we start Saturday VB tournaments next year. Unfortunately she's good so I know she won't quit.

My kid's a really good runner and the first thing I looked at when Iowa's schedule came out was where state XC fell on the calendar :)

Full disclosure I'd be more than happy to miss Brian Ferentz calling 3rd down plays to watch my kid run in Fort odge.

In that case, hope you have to miss a game this fall. Best of luck to your son!

Full disclosure - I will be in Fort Dodge on Saturday. We have to stop to show my boy the corn on my grandma's land in picturesque Pocahontas County and Calhoun County. Hoping to stop in Gowrie as well.

We’re doing two games this year. One home and away. Going to the 1st game of the season and then will be in Madison for that game.

I'm a 3x year guy. Opener, Homecoming with my college buds and best available (this year, coming down with friends for the Goophers, alternate years ISMoo). Usually 1 away game as well...never ISU. Can't stand to be near that place.

My memory of Pocohantas County is the Albert City grain elevator. I swear you can see it from twenty miles away on a clear day.

If there's a contest for most spectacular Iowa grain elevator, Albert City is on the list. Rapunzel would have had an issue letting down her hair from the top of that monstrosity if she wanted to lower it enough for the prince to rescue her.

:) :) :)

Back then we used highway 3 for a pretty good chunk of our trip to Lake Okoboji. This was well before highway 20 was four lanes and before Fort Dodge had a bypass.

I am super pumped. I've been out of state for several years and haven't been to Iowa City and Kinnick since med school in the 90's.

We have close friends who's son is a freshman on the team and they would like us to go to a few games with them this season. Right now, we are planning for at least the Purdue game. It will be great being back. Can't wait.
