Are you going to any games at Kinnick this year? Which ones? Will it be the first visit to Kinnick for any of you?

My wife and I go to at least one a year. Went to 2 last year. It will depend on my kids' schedules and who we're playing. Don't really need to watch up play teams like NW. Been there, done that. MSU would be my first choice.

My son will be a senior next year so I don't know if I'll continue to get mobile passes after this season. He's getting busier and busier with friends now that he can drive, and cross country training on the weekends is difficult on game days. We have a pretty kickass tailgate spot that my buddy and I share, and I'll probably keep that as long as I can, and maybe choose like three games to go to a year instead of all 7. I don't regret it whatsoever but 11 hours round trip 7 times a year gets rough. And expensive.

Attending all 7, like every year since my freshman year in 1971 (during the "gory" (not a typo!) days of FXL and Como.) Don't particularly enjoy having Utah State or Nevada, etc on the schedule, but understand the importance of getting at least 6 W's and "bowling for dollars". Bad timing on family weddings have caused me to miss 2 home games during that span. We also make a conference game road trip annually.

Am pulling for "Iowa touchdowns" (2 safeties and a FG) on the way to a 12 and 0 regular season, thanks to the D and special teams. Unless Ms. Goetz pulls the 7/25 Barta mandate as one of the dumbest ideas ever, that requirement theoretically could solve our problem at OC. D and Special Teams and at least a somewhat improved O, give the Hawks their best shot at a truly memorable season before the left coast additions put an end to the two divisions. (And no, i do not believe failing to average 25 points will be the end of BF, especially if the Hawks win the West.)

You can't beat Kinnick for a great time, regardless of the opponent!

I had season tickets in 18 and 19, have floated the idea of getting tickets every year since (other than 2020) with a friend, but we haven't decided to pull the trigger just yet. Probably none, but if the season goes well, who knows, I might pay some scalpers to see a game. Most likely candidates for that are Purdue/Minnesota/Nebraska.

We love the mobile pass because it’s so reasonably priced. If I lived closer I’d never consider not renewing

That's what I did the two years I had them, my grandfather (Who I had bought them with) passed in 2019, hence the non-renewal, then the weirdness that was 2020 happened anyway. At some point when my friend decides he wants to go in on them, I'll likely have them every year. The drive from Des Moines is easy, even pleasant most weekends.

We did the Nebraska game down and back last year because I had to smoke a bunch of pulled pork for Thanksgiving the next day.

Left town at 5AM, tailgated a while, watched the Hawks get bounced by the team I hate the most in all the world, then drove back and got home around 1AM. Then got up at 4AM to start the smoker. That weekend made me question my priorities. :)

Sidenote, if you need me to change your account to CadeMcNamaraForPresident at some point this month just remind me.

The one home game I will miss is Minnesota. Grandson is getting married that day. Poor judgement on his choice of dates.

I renewed our season tickets again this year. I hope to get to all seven games unless something unexpected comes up. You can't beat the entertainment.

I usually go to them all, but I think I have a conflict one weekend this year. Can't remember what it is, but I know there's something on the wife's calendar.

Damn fall weddings... I've pretty much told family that if they don't want me at their weddings just have it on a Saturday in the fall. Simple as that.

MSU is the only Big Ten team I've never seen in person.

I'm lucky to be an introvert. I haven't been to a wedding since '07 and that was my best friend's. Before that it was a high school classmate's in the 90's.

This year 0 - but I will be in Ames and Lincoln
You're gonna go to a game in a shit town that'll be 95 degrees, and a game in a shit town that's going to be 28 degrees.

I'd say extend your travel a little bit and hit the MSU or Minnesota game in a good town when the weather will be in the 50s :)
