As much as it pains me to say it, I'll be in those bleachers regardless of how well the team is playing. I love the sport and I love to get the opportunity to get away from home on Saturday's during the fall. I get that people are upset and they should be, but to alot of us it's about more than simply winning and losing, it's an escape from day to day life. As much as I hate days like today I'd rather be in those stands then any where else.
I've had two back surgeries the past two seasons that have caused me to miss the last three home games the past two years and to be honest, not being there hurts regardless of how the team is playing. My backs in good shape this time around and I no longer take Saturday's for granted and simply try to enjoy every saturday.
This.I'd guess during the pre-conference next year.
I can say I will be there for every home game. These guys really need the support. The booing the players isn't helping anyone. I never expected this team to go undefeated, there's still a lot of games left and there is plenty of time to get things going in the right direction. This team is being forced to grow up fast and it shows. I am as disappointed as anybody after sitting at the game and having the triple gut punch that was the onside kick, penalty and field goal, but I wont be skipping out on the rest of the year.
If you're not suicidal after a loss how the hell do you call yourself a real fan?
Aside from the student section I just don't see Kinnick having too many empty seats ever.
There was booing today, but it was for the officials, and in support of the team.
Real fans are murder-suicidal.
