If Piersbacher was anchoring that left side? Watched a replay of the BCS title game the other night, guy is a monster.
What ifs are a waste of time. Go the other way, what if Wadley, Jewel and Wesh went elsewhere? What if our entire oline sucked? How good would we be?If Piersbacher was anchoring that left side? Watched a replay of the BCS title game the other night, guy is a monster.
Play action play action play action... It'll be his and this teams best friend. It'll make everything so much easier. Having an Oline like the Patriots which allows Brady all day to decide what he wants to do would be great too don't get me wrong. But if your Oline struggles at providing a pocket then use roll outs and playaction a lot. With our running game teams will bite on it giving TEs just that extra step to get open which is all it takes. Our pass protection wasn't much to write home about last year. If it hasn't greatly improved the Stanley is going to see the sky a lot while he is laying on his back. If they give Stanley time to scan the field for open receivers then I think this team is really going to surprise the football nation.

True but flea flickers aren't going to be a staple those will be as you said a once or twice a season thing... Not necessarily a difference making deal.I agree and it won't hurt if we see a flea flicker or two.

I get what your saying. I wish they'd run more creative stuff too more often. I just know that if you think they'll run more then one or two 'trick' kind of plays a game your asking a lot... But that said BF is a bit of an unknown so we'll see what's up his sleeve and if maybe he'll hold anything back for the PSU game...I would do more than one a game, throw in a Statue of Liberty, double reverse, halfback pass, etc. That's what keeps defenses guessing, off balance, and nervous. When you only run twenty plays it's not hard to defense it.
It's also fun for the fans as it's entertaining. The Greg Davis offenses have been anything but entertaining. Torture to watch would be more descriptive.

Don't kid yourself we'd have taken him in a heart beat and still would. Our whole line was embarrassed by Florida too... I get what your doing but being over the top about it doesn't fool anyone.Guy wanted to play guard, but we are already stacked at guard. Didn't need him, didn't want him. Anyway, Bama and Pierschbacher got totally embarrassed on a national TV against Clempson, so I hope he likes the taste of defeat.
