How do you prepare for a team that just got Beat 38-0?

I'm sure they have looked at their body of work. If they play like they did at Michigan and Iowa can come out and match even half of Michigan's intensity in that game, Iowa should do well in this game.

Get out on them early, don't turn the ball over, and have the D force some turnovers as well. I think if we can hold them to under 21 points and win the field position battle, our offense should be able to generate enough points to win this game. Also, can't have any more major injuries in this game (like lose CJ).
 
you prepare like you are playing a team that has already beat Stanford and Duke this year, and 2 weeks ago, blew out a good Minnesota team 27-0.
 
The real question is why did they get beat 38-0. That is simple. They watched Jake's Iowa film last year so they could prepare for 2 games at once.
 
Get off Rudock all three phases beat Northwestern.I also agree I don't think there as good as they think.Go out and play our game and execute in all three phases and we'll be fine.Go Hawks
 
I feel our offense is already battle tested,we've gone against Pitt and Wis. which I feel both those teams can beat Northwestern.I don't think Nortwesterns D is as good as either of those teams.Go Hawks
 
Could Fitz be such a sociopath that he was looking past Michigan to Iowa? I've heard they've been practicing with 20th anniversary Rose Bowl jerseys.

You know the season that Iowa broke Fitz's leg, keeping him out of the Rose Bowl and started him down this dark path of Iowa hatred

Not as sick of hearing how bad the loss was to Miich.

Duke is 5-1, 2-0 in yhe ACC. its only loss is to NW

Stanford is 4-1, 3-0 in the PAC. its only loss is to NW.

They are good teams. I admit Minn is questionable if they are any good. But Duke and Stanford are good.
 
Northwestern isn't as bad as they looked last week. But they aren't the best team Iowa has face this year either. This game is tough because it's in Evanston and Iowa's got some injuries
 
I would expect nu to look a lot better than they did vs Mich. They got behind early so had to alter what they want to do on offense. also our defense isn't as good as Michigan. I think it's the same as ever game for us this year we have to be able to run the ball to limit possessions and win the turnover battle.
