As for the press conference. I haven't listened to or read anything derKirkFer has said for years. Unless it's part of your job assignment, I can't imagine anyone but rubes doing so.

That presser is just another example why everything needs to be completely flushed in Iowa City. Mason, needs to be replaced before next fall, so that the new President can bring in their AD, and that AD can get ready to bring in Kirk's replacement.

The guy you want as Pres is Gordon Gee. He knows how to hire ADs and thus coaches. He understands football. At WVU he brought in Luck and they got themselves into the XII which was a master stroke. I think Luck is the guy who got that HC too. Luck has since moved on to the NCAA I think.
