I'll add a stipulation. How deep will the rotation be during Big 10 & tournament play?

Add a response to the thread for your pre-conference rotation depth is you want.

I voted 8 because I hope it is 8 or 9. Keep the best players on the court for as long as possible

Yes I agree, anything over 8/9 is very tough to do in college BB.

I voted 10, we have a lot guys in the mix. I think we redshirt Dailey, and I could see BE being the odd man out again. If Jones is healthy and Pemsl & or Kreiner is in the rotation then we'd be at least 10.

There is going to be a few players who are probably unhappy with there play time this year. We only graduate one senior as well so I assume there will be some natural attrition over the next two years.

I voted 12 -
- 5 starters that every, sane coach, pundit and fan recognize and accept as the starter quality players;
- 5 next tier players that make up the platoon that is robotically inserted around the 15 - 16 minute mark of each half, regardless how the 1st 5 performed during the first 4 - 5 minutes;
- 2 other guys that Fran spontaneously throws on the floor in frustrated desparation, trying to find a spark, after his platooning sucked the momentum out of the game flow and squandered the 8 - 10 point cushion his starters had built.
;):p ... not really, more like ... :mad:

Williams, Moss, Jok, Baer, Cook, Uhl, Wagner, Jones... I think most would agree on these 8.

I'm just not sure how the PG spot is going to work out. I'm not sure Bohannon will be ready as a true freshman. If not, maybe guys like Moss, Dailey or even Jok get moved to the PG. If that's the case Ellingson could come in and get minutes at the 2 or if it's Moss or Jok, Dailey might get minutes at the 2. Any of these scenarios pushes the rotation to 9 at a minimum.

I don't think Moss, Dailey or Jok can play the PG so I think Bohannon is going to have to play PG whether he's ready or not

Dailey is 6 inches taller than Bohannon and only one pound heavier. I'm guessing he's going to redshirt this year

Depends on how well he can play point and how ready Bohannon is. I figure one will redshirt and the other will play point.

I keep reading articles where Williams, Jok, Dailey and Moss are all mentioned having time at the PG spot. I remember reading an article where Peter Jok said ,after getting critiqued by the NBA powers that be, he was told to get some minutes at PG and develope that part of his game.

I voted 11 and that's what I think it will be all year...barring injury. But all 11 won't play every game. With so many young guys there will be foul problems; defensive issues; the February freshman wall; game to game match ups, etc. IMO

I guess this boils down to what your definition of rotation is....

I agree there will be 11 guys who play throughout the season and there will be games we deal with foul trouble and such.

But I think there will be 9 guys that play in almost every game so I consider them to be a part of the rotation.

What articles are these? Jok at PG would be a disaster

That article doesn't change my mind at all, if Jok played PG that would be a disaster

I actually agree with you. I don't see Jok as a good fit at all for the PG position.

But I also don't get paid to write about Hawkeye sports and for whatever reason... Leistikow must have some insight or a thought that Jok will play some PG based on that article.

The DMR also spent all PTL hyping up Fleming's offense and Hutton's defense so I'm not so sure they know much more than the casual fan
