How bad are we gonna lose to Clown U?

Don't know why I think this with the way things have been the last couple years for the team in general, and this series for the last 10 years, but for some reason my gut tell me we blow out the Clones this year. In their house. I'm still really torn on weather I think this team can be good or not this year. From what I've seen they are still at the point offensively where the light bulb has not come on but if it does I think they could perhaps put up some big numbers, yes even against some of the better teams, but only if the light actually comes on. Where I am worried is the defense! I really thought they would be much better on the D line and I aint seeing any of that. D line is not good right now and our secondary stinks too! Not a good combination. Football Gods! Please let the light come on!

I see the breakdown like this:

ISU can't tackle.........period. Iowa's secondary gets torched and can't gererate pressure without sending 7 guys, which leaves the secondary open to torching. Iowa can move the ball pretty well but can't score. Will ISU miss enough tackles to allow our guys to score or will our secondary get torched enough so they win...........again.

Listen. ISU is bad. Not just sorta bad, they are terrible bad. After watching their game with UNI they should be embarrassed about how bad their team is. Iowa could potentially kick the crap out of them. Unfortunately they won't.

Sticking with the pattern the last 14 years, if it is a close game, Iowa St. will win. ISU is a 3-9 football team, however if they keep it close they will win.

Iowa does not have the ability to blow any team in America out. As bad as ISU is, they are still better than Missouri State. This is destined to be a close game, no matter what. I think Clown U pulls their typical Houdini act and plays Iowa 10x better than they played UNI, and 10x better than they will play for the rest of the season. They are more likely to win this game by multiple scores than Iowa is.

Yup.
And once again, Paul Rhoads will coach circles around the $3.65 Million Dollar Man.

I think there is enough talent on Iowa to win this game handily. Whether they do it or not depends upon their execution. So far they haven't played a solid game. Iowa's better on both sides of the line. QB...Edge to Iowa. Ruddock may be new, but he is better then ISU's clown. Iowa's running game is better than ISU's. Overall defensively Iowa is better. The secondary may be suspect but ISU's entire defense has problems. They have had to replace their line and linebackers. And some secondary personnel. Receivers; Iowa. Kick coverage; Iowa is suspect. Don't know about ISU.
But there is a caution about Iowa. Iowa is a team that hasn't found an identity. They, the coaches have showed a lot of runs against Missouri State but are they convinced that Iowa is a running team? Or are they going to keep trying to make them a spread offense team?
Iowa wins.

Going to be a dog fight ...

Gee, that doesn't sound AT ALL like the typical hokk fan break down of this game that has appeared across cyberspace for the last 15 years. But this year will be different, right?

Trying to muster up enough energy to give 2 craps, but my gut feel is that ISU grinds out a win.
