How are the Hawks gonna react against Minney?

I don't know what to say here. We are a frail team right now, I hope the kids haven't gotten their guts ripped out too many times to still compete hard and win.
Knowing we haven't lost 2 times in a row all season, I THINK we come out and impose some will on a struggling Minney team. Minney has been playing just bad as of late though....and they know full well they GOTTA get a win of some significance soon to stay within earshot of the dance.

This game could be dangerous for Iowa if they don't have their heads on straight. Not that Minney is very good, rather that they are in a corner and MUST win.

What say you?

I think they will play real loose and really well. They are 2 games back with 5 to go and they almost have to win them all to tie or win the champ outright.

I think the championship is a low percentage so I hope they are loose.

And maybe they have been tight playing at carver in these big games.

They've bounced back well from previous losses and haven't played too bad on the road so no reason for me to think we won't compete.

50-50 chance. What Iowa team shows up and what Minny team shows up. I expect another close game.....and we usually know what that means.

Quit believing the fake NCAA official telling Iowa thy aren't allowed to make FGs in the last 9 minutes.

We need to go 2-1 this week. That becomes a lot easier if we beat minny as I don't see us losing to Purdue. I think the hawks will have their hands full in this one. Hopefully the players have put Wisconsin in the rear view mirror and come in very focused.

Close game, I think the Gophers take it.

And I think Iowa will go 11-7 in the conference. I started out picking them at 13-5 six weeks ago, made a couple revisions along the way.

11-7, a win or two in the BTT, and they are a solid 5 seed. Got to watch out for that 12 seed though!

The way the Goofs have been playing, if we drop this one, we won't have played a very good game.

I've got a bad feeling about the game, and I think the Hawks will not have a very good game and/or the Gophers will snap out of their slump with a vengeance.

Iowa has won all their close games against bad/decent teams. It's the ones against good teams they don't finish.

Win.

They have proven all season that they flush the losses and beat inferior teams. Home or away. I don't think this will be any different.

I would LOVE for the Hawks to help put a nail in MN's coffin with respect to the Dance.
Love it!

We haven't lost back to back all season. We haven't lost to an unranked team all season. We don't seem to care if we're on the road or at home...play at the same level for the most part either way which is good on the road. I'm going with our YTD performance this late in the year...beat the 4 unranked teams remaining on our schedule.

But, it is also an away game, and Minny is a fringe NCAA bubble team. They are not Northwestern when Northwestern is not playing above themselves.

I'm sure we will have our hands full again. Hopefully we will continue the streak of not losing 2 in a row, but that could come to end here. Iowa needs to bring their A game.

Only teams to have not lost back-back in conf play are Iowa, MSU, Mich. Iowa is not as good as MSU and Mich. Up till Saturday, Hawks were 8-0 in weekend afternoon games. That streak is now broken.

This is point of season where depth is supposed to be a strength. It's just as likely to be a liability to Iowa, especially when the staff thinks it's bench is as good as its starters and ignores performance.

As Fran likes to say, [the Hawks] are "sideways." They are unable to tune out criticisms and distractions. From head coach down, emotional overreactions / mental breakdowns get the best of them.

They are going to lose at Minny. It's 50/50 if they lose at Indy. They will beat Purdue, lose at MSU and sweep Illannoy.

A weak finish to a promising regular season, probably tied for 5th with Nebraska. Hope they regroup for the tournaments but, at this point of the season, they are what they are.
