Hosed on tickets

I don't need them, we are covered, but I just find it gay that with 40+ years of being a season ticket holder with nearly 500 priority points and they hand us the bone to suck the marrow out of.

Let's be honest, what you find gay is by not getting those extra 2 that you don't need, you won't be covering the cost of your own and the extra's by scalping those 2 and that was really what you wanted to do.

Dude creates a new account to do nothing but whine about how his entitled-self doesn't get his way. Take your first world problems and slurs elsewhere...

Hopefully you're able to sleep at night with such a massive black cloud looming over your life.

Maybe they can reseat him in the Stanford section!

So because you ordered the tickets wrong, this is some how the University's fault?

You're a spoiled little kid.

I didn't order anything.

I base this thread off the U of I athletic office saying silver and gold hawk members would get the same amount they have for season tickets. The U of I shouldn't post that if they know they can't fulfill, how does that make me the *******?

Let's be honest, you don't know what you are talking about. I said 50 times before the U of I athletic office said they would give silver and gold hawk members the same amount of bowl tickets as they have season tickets.

Yes thankfully I could get them through my Stanford connection. Otherwise some I Club member that hasn't been to a game of donated anything for season tickets would have (Does have) our other 2.

It's simple.

There was two orders placed. They fulfilled your first order. If the correct order would have been placed the first time, you would have got your tickets.

Quit whining.

Really? Because a fellow above said that he has had 8 season tickets since Nile Kinnick was in utero and he got 2 as well.

How many tickets did you need? 4
How many tickets do you have? 4

Non-existent first-world crisis averted. Unless you mean that you were going to turn around and sell those extra two tickets to somebody. And if so, were you going to charge what you payed for them? It seems not... it looked like you said you were going to charge 350 apiece elsewhere.

Here's some math for you: 40,000+ season tickets were sold for 2015, assume that 75% of those requested a ticket (these aren't holders, these are actual season tickets). That's 30,0000 season ticket holders requesting tickets, plus another 23,0000 non-season ticket holders requesting tickets. And Iowa's allotment was only 22,000 tickets. Meaning that not all of these season ticket requests for RB tickets could be filled. My understanding and from what I've heard, you were lucky to get half of what you requested. You requested 4 and got 2. Then stole 2 from Stanford fans (for which I do congratulate and thank you, more gold, less cardinal). And now, as a result, you have the total number of tickets you needed (something that most fans can not say), AND two more Hawks will be in Pasadena as a result of you not getting 4 from UI. Everybody's happy. Except you. Because entitlement.

"Entitlement" a word used by people who don't work hard as a disparaging remark for those who are successful.... Noted

Hey genius. I agree with everything you said, but it wasn't me who posted that crap about all those tickets being available via the athletic office. I AGREE WITH YOU. They shouldn't have said what they did when there was no way in hell everyone was going to get the tickets they promised.

It's been made clear all the calculators at the athletic office are missing their division buttons.

From Hawkeyesports.com: "The UI Athletics Ticket Office will limit orders for game tickets to eight for Kinnick Gold & Kinnick Society; six for Champion Hawks; four for Golden & Silver Hawks; and two for remaining I-Club members, and season ticket holders."

But I'm the one who is wrong for thinking the University
A) Shouldn't have posted this, when there was simply no way this could be fulfilled (Much like Social Security)
B) If they say it, they should have honored it.

It's mostly the former and not the latter.

Are you a closet Longhorns fan? I never said this....

Nowhere in there does it say you can have as many bowl tickets as season tickets.

It also tells how many you can ORDER.....not how many you will GET. No promises were made, so none were broken.

Where does it say there that you will be guaranteed them?

This reminds me of Jim and Tammy Faye over selling their memberships to Heritage USA. Anyone else remember the PTL scandal?

Good luck, and hope you and yours have a good time in Pasadena! Go Hawks!

Bro, do you read? a LIMIT is not a GUARANTEE. It's a maximum, not a minimum. So now, this thread of yours is even worse.

"Entitlement" a word used by people who don't work hard as a disparaging remark for those who are successful.... Noted

And also, you have your idea of who uses "entitlement" a little bit off. Anybody can act as though they are entitled. In this case, it happens to be you. Next time, please refrain from calling me lazy. You don't know me.

Really? Because a fellow above said that he has had 8 season tickets since Nile Kinnick was in utero and he got 2 as well.

He said his family had been season ticket holders for that long and that he currently has 8 (and was pleased to get them BTW). Didn't say anything about being a Silver or Gold Hawk. Bottom line, if your Father had requested 4 tickets on the initial order he would have gotten them. He didn't, you're going to the game, let it rest...
