I just think you are going to see Iowa spread the field more and run more no-huddle. Our offense will feature a higher ratio of passing plays and QB draws and less "ground and pound".
I don't think you'll see a whole lot of designed QB draws with Vandy at the position. They did run QB draws with McCoy and Vince Young, but those guys could run much better than Vandy.
Obviously, there will be a lot more shotgun formation. I think the most visible change we will see is the amount of plays we run where players are sent in motion; sometimes multiple times on the same play. Davis wants to get the ball in the athletes hands in open space. So it will be a lot of motion designed to open up the short passes and run game. If that's successful then it will open up a deeper passing game.
CJF said the main difference he has noticed is that he's running more deep routes and this offense requires him to think less (which in his case is a good thing). He said with KOK's offense he was having to make at least 2 or 3 reads on most plays just to determine what route he's supposed to run or what assignment is his. He's a big freakishly athletic kid... tell him what to do and let him do it. I like this philosophy much better, and I think we will notice it being more successful.
