Etherington only got scrub minutes and I don't think anyone is surprised about Vonleh. I think most people figured he was always going to be one and done. Hollowell will hurt a little, but I don't think this is something for Indiana to be concerned about.
 
Indiana bball fans are a twitchy bunch, but I think the smart play is to not get too worked up about these defections & give Crean a little more time. Personally, I don't really care much for Crean, but I do believe he can coach - this season was a bit of a backslide, but I don't think anyone would be shocked to see them back in the 20-25 wins range again next year.
 
A big Hoosier supporter I know (who dislikes Crean) thinks Crean is just making room. Obviously, he doesn't want to lose Vonleh, but everyone knew he was 1 and done. He's heard (fwiw) that Anthony Lee from Temple has IU as the frontrunner. He thinks they have a real good shot at Eron Harris too because he wants to be closer to home and is from Indy.

He also admitted that if they don't land at least Lee, they are in big trouble.

I don't think he can coach in game. I think he can recruit.

This x 1000. Excellent recruiter, not a great coach. He recruited D-Wade at Marquette and took them to the Final Four, but outside of that, he honestly didn't do all that much there outside of a couple more one and done's in the NCAA's.

I personally would be surprised to see IU back in the 20-25 win range next year. They were hardly a great team this year, and are losing 3 players. If I was going to sit here and make a prediction right now, I'd say they will miss the dance again next year, and Hoosier fans get restless.
