My original point was: Gabe will push Adam for playing time. Through 3 games (a small sample for sure) I have been proven right.
Adam has 13pts, 14 rbs, and 3 blocks
Gave has 18pts, 13 rbds, and 9 blocks

Both are averaging 14.3 minutes per game. Fact.

Looks like Adam is being pushed for PT.

Get back to me when Iowa stops playing terrible teams. Starting with Atlantis I would bet Gabe's minutes go down.

If you couldnt see that Gabe was out of position last night on defense that led to some dunks/lay ups for MDES then you should probably stop commenting in basketball threads.

Let's take out 2nd half minutes of the unc Wilmington and the Maryland eastern shore game and compare meaningful minutes. Actual I don't even care what the stats are at this point, the eye test shows gabe will not be pushing woody for minutes. He'll simply be giving Woody a breather.

OK, I'm back. vs Xavier

Woodbury: 2pts, 1 rebound, 11 minutes, 5 fouls
Olaseni: 10 pts, 11 rebounds, 29 minutes

Maybe you're the one who should stop commenting.

Uh, wrong.

Gabe was huge and the difference maker and obviously way better than Woody tonight.

Doesn't change the way I feel... Woody is still the better play and gabe may not have ever had the opportunity had Woody fouled out.

I won't deny that. But my original point was, and still is, Gabe will push Woody for minutes.

Currently Gabe is averaging 17.3 minutes/game. Woody is getting 15.3 minutes/game. That is not counting tonight's Xavier game where Gabe had a huge advantage.

IMO, Gabe has a much bigger upside than Woodbury. He is a much better athlete and more fluid on the floor than Woodbury. It is a good problem to have, as both players will get much better than they are now. Still early in both of their careers, although Woodbury has played a lot more bb than Olaseni.
