Man, I hope KF has been doing his job as the CEO and doing succession planning for his OC. I hope he has identified some young guy out there who knows how to run a passing attack.

Do you have any names? Did Scott Frost take a head job somewhere?

Frost messed up and took a job at one of the smaller Florida schools. If hed have waited he could be Oregons coach. Nebraska may have messed up taking Riley instead of him.
I'm not even remotely confidant Iowa is going to dump Davis. Like Kf he's not leaving till he retires. If this year doesn't prove it nothing will.... Kf just won't fire a yes man that does exactly what he wants. His job performance is irrelevant....

Greg Davis will be the OC until he decides to quit. At which point Brian Ferentz is going to be the OC until Kirk decides to quit. At which point Brian Ferentz is going to be the head coach. And so on and so on and scooby dooby do.

Get used to the Ferentz dynasty. It's here for the long, long haul.

I think Riley was just a table holder for Frost to see if he had what it takes first. If he does well, Nebraska will throw some money at him in a couple years and he will go there.

If they don't make a change of some sort, you really have to wonder about the administration, I mean 125+ offense in the nation with a veteran group. That ain't gunna cut it. Wonder if we see Brian transitioning more into the OC position.

Something has to be done because it can't get any worse and GD is in his what, 4-5 year? C'mon!

Yep. Riley is the proverbial fill in coach and I agree they can get Frost anytime they want.

Tom Herman's bloom started to fade this year at Houston.
Fortunately, Texas thought that Tom Herman was an upgrade from Charlie Strong, and, at this point, I'm not sure about that.
Tom Herman may just be Dan Hawkins 2.0 at a Power 5 school.

Yeah that makes sense. Assuming Frost doesn't take off with another great gig. He was a year away from having the Oregon gig fall in his lap. He wouldn't have left there for Nebraska anytime soon if he'd have gotten that. As it sits now yeah we'll just have to see how Riley does and or how they do... Not having Armstrong next yr will make things more his show. He was playing with the card he was delt taking the job inheriting Tommie. I don't see Riley there in more than 4 yrs is my guess. Less if they put up any more 5 win stinker seasons...

the next Herman is Joe Moor head, the OC at PSU. but just like Herman, he will be looking for a HC job next.
