At what point does suspending the 2025-26 season come into play. Obviously it would take extreme circumstances but if we end losing everyone that's entered the portal and with our well documented NIL situation theres no way we will bring bring in enough Replacements. You would need half a dozen just to have a normal practice and that aint happening with our NIL. And if our attendance tanks to less than 2,500-3,000 a game...?
This reminds me of the beginning of the Tom Crean era when if anything Indiana was in even worse shape that Iowa in the Lickliter era. They ended up suiting up baseball players and even student managers. Crean was able to reload rather quickly because he could sell the promise of immediate playing time. Today's players don't give a rat's ass about playing time when they can get a slice of that NIL pie.
Maybe a program being forced to fold a season would be the impetus toward reigning in the wild west show and establishing some NIL regulations.
