reading some of these posts about rumors and he said or i heard has my head spinning!! Before we get the pictch forks and torches out, try and let this thing ride. I as much as anyone would like to know whats going on, but until our AD steps up to the micro-phone, we had better hold on to our hats or they are going to blow off with all the passion that is starting blow like a wild wind through the message boards. Some of the posts i have read sound like a pack of wolves that haven't eaten for a long time. Give Barta a chance to do his job, if he blows it, then we can get the pitchforks and torches out.

Can you blame us? The Hawkeye faithful ARE hungry....for wins. Iowa Basketball has reached a low that many of us have not experienced in our lives. It really hasn't been that long since we were a program that could be expected to go to the Dance as least 3 out of 5 years and challenge for Big Ten titles. We all know that with the right coach, there is no reason that Iowa can't win consistantly and compete at the highest level, and that's why we are so up in arms about this hire. If Gary Barta whiffs on this hire it will most certainly cost him his job, and rightly so.

Had my my first ride on a roller coaster in 1953 (I was 22) and it was the scariest ride of my life. Guess from Jon's post, this one will be scarry too.

It's about time we go through a couple of tunnels and and up another hill. It's getting old.....fast.
