HN TV: Hawkeyes PTL Highlight Reel & Statistics 7/14

When looking at the gaudy numbers these guys put up in the PTL, it makes you really appreciate and understand the scheming from the coaches and quality of tough D that is played in the NCAA. We see it every year. These guys put up huge numbers and many of them score under 10 pts a game in BIG 10 play.

Thank you, Rob. This is the sneak peek we all needed. Melrose, good observation. I do think we are going to be a very strong scoring team in '17-'18. These kids are talented. They just need to grow up. I love Dailey's smooth delivery and nothing but net 3's. If Wagner can get his footwork on the perimeter down and become an inside/outside threat and Cook can bury the 10 footer consistently, we will be very good. Baer is looking more comfortable from the wing as a 2/3 type, Williams may not become a rim finishing pg, but he can get into the lane and find an open spot for 6 footers. Pemsl could become a Kevin McHale type in a few years. He looks comfortable around the rim. Good rebounder.

On another board they were saying that Dailey reminded them of a taller version of B.J. Armstrong.

The biggest shock to me is seeing Wagner hitting 3s and pull up Js.

I don't expect him to hit 3s in the regular season but I sure would like him to improve his 50% free throw shooting.

We definitely need some free throw shooting down low. Uhl can do it, so can others. Wagner needs to make those, if he is going to pick up some serious minutes. Hitting a few jumpers will help spread the floor too.

Uhl needs to work on his ball handling with his head up, AND learn to Share the ball... If he cannot learn to be unselfish and that this is a team gig. Then his minutes will not increase. There will be others to take those minutes.

He is tossing out assists and scoring from all over the floor. And he is smooth.... Could be that guy that can handle the pressure at the end of the game, that we have lacked since Gatens. If so, AND he can make clutch shots, especially free throws, then I'm all in on Dailey.
