HN.com Iowa v PSU Preview/Prediction

I was thinking 21-17, Hawks. Some people think this is going to be a walk. Maybe at Kinnick, but at PSU, I'm really feeling it'll be a game that's in doubt start to end.
 
Can someone sum it up for me? Cant watch or listen at work and am curious. My prediction si 24-17 Hawks, in a very tight, hostile game.
 
I think the Hawks win by more than one score. I'll go with 23-10. Penn State is just bad on offense, this should be a good game for our D to gain a little confidence. I think the Hawks have the best passing attack PSU has seen all year.

Because Iowa football the past three years is all about close games. I've given up predicting/expecting Iowa to blow any team out. Yes I do think teams like ULM or Tenn Tech we should kill them.

PSU has a very good defense. Iowa's offense is still a puzzle. We looked good in a hurry up offense against a bad Pitt team, and a bad ULM team. How will this translate against PSU? Hard to say. I do think the offense has some talent with the WR so we should lean on our strength.

But our defense is pretty bad, and we can make teams opposing QB's look pretty good.

I think PSU wins 21-17

Close predictions! Many are anticipating a tight game. I try to be a realist in my score predictions and go on worse case scenario.. I could see us winning by two TD's, but gotta stick with 24-17 good guys.

Do you really think Pitt is that bad of a team? I certainly didnt think they were horrible. ULM, yes, but that is expected.

Bad Pitt team? They are 3-2 with close last second losses to Iowa and Notre Dame, while they beat the #16 team in the country last week really bad.
 
It's going to be a close, hard-fought game. PSU D is the best we will see this year and it's not even close.

I'll say we win 16-10. Coker scores on a 1-yard run midway through the fourth. PSU still can't get it going offensively.

Also, poster above should have called Pitt inexperienced, not bad. That team had a lot of talented players, but they were also green in a lot of ways and it showed in the way they melted down at the end.

My thoughts as well. Some tough, close losses one to an improve Notre Dame team.

I wouldn't stop at Nat'l Champs, don't you remember a few weeks ago the rumors of Iowa heading to the NFC East? This team will win the NC and go on to play the Super Bowl Champs and win, to be declared Football Champs of the World!
 
17-10 Hawks. A couple of quick passing tds, KF puts on the breaks and grinds it out in the second half. Boring game but a victory none the less.
