Hitchens, Kirksey, and Morris

This is a VERY quick group of LB's.

Agreed. Undersized, but very quick. I was really concerned about Kirksey coming into the season, but he's held his own, and then some. If not for Bernstine, Kirksey would be the defense's MVP through 3 games.

Yep. Nielsen's been slowed by a bad ankle, but Hitchens does seem to give us more speed over a healthy Nielsen. All three of those guys can really move and hit. If we can step up our D-line play and keep blockers off the LB's, those guys will clean up. With a few more games under their belts, those guys could really develop into something special.

I'd say Kirksey just cuz Bern missed the ISU game. But, yur right, and as I posted earlier, Bernstine will make this D better. He is legit.

I considered that, but then the difference between weeks 1/3 and last week was so stark, I had to give it to Bernstine. He's so much like Sanders in the way that he 1. Brings the lumber, 2. Struggles to stay healthy, and 3. Brings that nasty attitude that elevates everyone's play.

we could run the 3-4 and have all those guys out there :) although I like nardo in there but carl davis got owned. He plays to high and the blockers get under his shoulder pads and he gets blown off the ball
