Hill decommits from ISU, joins hawks

Have to admit, having grown up on the il side of the quad cities the isu / iowa rivalry has never resonated. But how do you talk so much insulting smack to isu fans after the past season we had?

it's ez dude, jump in and give it a try! :)

they are still the clownz and after it was all said and done Iowa had a 'bad' season and still had a better record than they.

Once again goes back to my theory that ISU needs Iowa to be relevant. If they did not care so much about Iowa, why are they on our boards? If losing Hill was not such a big deal, why are they here downplaying it?

If that was the case, he would have committed to Iowa back on June 3rd when Iowa offered him.

hey, wait a minute - i thought coach woads was the only coach to go out on a limb for Hill? damn.

Yeah... on June 3rd.... LONG after he had already committed to Rhoads and ISU. But on June 3rd he didn't magically de-commit from ISU and go to the almighty Hawkeyes, did he?

And he didn't commit to Iowa in July, or August, or September, October, or even December. Hmmmm I wonder why not since all kids in Iowa just dream to be Hawkeyes? I wonder what happened in December that made Hill change his mind in January? Ohhhhh, that's right, 2 more Iowa RB's, their top 2 by the way, quit the team. But that didn't have anything to do with it, right? It was because he always wanted to be a Hawkeye and come play at that great school just like all other Iowa kids, right?

Believe what you want to. He wants playing time. Who can blame him. And it's easier to get on the field at RB at Iowa than it is as ISU. Anyone with a brain knows that. Get over yourselves. I doubt he really dreams of playing somewhere with all the problems Iowa has had.... especially at the RB position.

if hill can recover he will be solid. but i have to see him at best at #4 on the depth chart maybe only #5.

1) canzeri - good showing but needs weight
2) johnson - he is the elder statesman
3) garmon - could easily up stock
4 & 5) dawson & hill - both could move up as both are good athletes

honestly what is wrong with you people??? do you guys honestly just use this site to have ******* matches back and fourth with eachother? some of you really need to take a break from this and just calm down. I, like alot of other people, come to this site to get info about the hawks, but the threads become so deluted with your damn back and fourth ******** that it is getting really hard to enjoy this site, go to a thread and 80% of it is just people not being able to get along and insulting another teams school or going over board with your stupid little inside jokes, mr haiku it's gettin old and it's not funny at all. but you guys seem to want to push boundaries and see what you can get away with until jon puts and end to it, than you just start something else... can we please just stop it

garmon will start from day 1!!

it's also a bit easier to get looked at by NFL scouts if you go to Iowa and not iswho. maybe he likes the Iowa offense more than the great spread offense used in lames.

[=HawkForce;688206]ISU has a pretty good young stable of RB's right now. I was surprised we even were going after a RB in this class.

If you told me that ISU was going to lose one recruit, he would have probably been really close to the top of my list of ones we could most live without.

We will miss Eddie Porter, the JUCO LB a LOT more.
B1tch, please. You take at least one RB in every class.

Hill's high school coach is saying tonight that the knee injury was "nothing".

1) not saying garmon wont be the starter but it wont be handed to him he has to earn it. when he gets to camp he will be #3.

2) no knee injury is ever nothing for a rb. half the time it isnt the physical but the mental side of knowing whether you can make the cut or move like you used to on it. so we will see how he does with that.

That's awesome. . . takes a recruit away from the clowns and gives us something to feed AIRBHG with.

Seriously. Hill, Garmon, Dawson is an awesome class of RBs. AIRBHG will be happy, and will hopefully let two of them make it to campus. If we can get one to last until upperclassmen status, that would be a miracle.

Wonder why ISU's running backs all stay and Iowa's running backs all leave after a year? Maybe KF should talk with Roades to see what he is doing to keep his backs more than a year?
