Highest paid coach in Big Ten

Ummmmmm.......Shouldn't we expect a lot more from the highest paid coach in the Big Ten?? I think so.

Here's a Ferentz quote from today, "‘For the most part, you get what you deserve." Amen, coach. I hope everyone within the Iowa Football department gets what they deserve.

I am sick of this kind of post. KF and his staff did not lose this game. Lack of execution lost this game. Would you feel better if KF made $800,000/year, would you expect less?

I am as critical of the O and D schemes as anybody, but KF's salary is just fans looking for a reason. Did you question his salary last year?

Yep and I hope he's talking about the coaching staff and not the kids. Hey coach if you didn't have EIU and Ball State on your schedule this year you would be 5-7! Stick that one in your pipe and smoke it.

Actually HawkeyeWalker I've questioned it since the ineptitude that existed prior to last year's lucky year. And yes as the HIGHEST paid public servent he better get some thick skin the team wasn't ready to play today emotionally or otherwise...that is the COACHES responsibility. While they didn't LOSE it they certainly contributed to it....half the game again without a score are you freaking kidding me!

All I want is for kF to apologize to the fans and kids for a miserable year. A stand up guy would admit their failings this year and promise to do better next year pure and simple....particularly with his freaking paycheck.

I'll always be a Hawk fan, but I have to agree with this. The season has been on the coaches, they started to lose the team after Wisconsin......Lost them for sure after the Northwestern game. I blame the coaching staff for this years record.

This. When I screw up on the job, I apologize and move on. I make scraps by comparison. To get paid as much as KF is getting paid, there are expectations. They have been completely unmet this year by a mile.

Who should we hire then? The huge list of awesome coaches lining up to coach here? Would you be willing to risk things getting worse? Well, we'll never know. Believe me, I am critical of the predictable offense and unchanging defense, but both have worked in the past. If we were getting beat convincingly you would have more of a case for a change. We as a fanbase are looking for answers, we won't get them.

OMG name a coach that has accomplished as much with as little?

Rich Rod was "THE MAN". Now look at Michigan, he still gets a top 10 class and 5 star players. To think that Iowa wouldnt be even worse is a joke.

I don't usually agree with these posts so maybe im overreacting right now but after looking at it. JoePa should be the highest paid in the big10 then Tressel and then maybe KF but he shouldn't be paid the highest thats for sure.

You do realize that Ohio and Pennsylvania actually produce players instate right? They are consistently top 5 states for recruits. Some of our best players were not even looked at by OSU.

I think we all know that you jerk it to a card-board cut out of KF 10 times a day. Time for you to return to your paper-route.
