High of 91 For North Texas Game

Good time to give the starters a break.

We need to have the game in hand before we give the starters a break. Per our track record we cannot overlook any of these early non-conference games. I hope they do get a chance to sit but we can't assume we are going to roll over these guys.

Not the kind of temperatures you want to find yourself on the defensive end of a 7-8 minute double digit play drive.

That is what you want when you dominate the depth battle

True, but definitely not the battle I want sitting in the stands when I've dominated the time of possession battle tailgating. Its going to be a warm and very dehydrating afternoon for those in the stands.

Unfortunately we don't bury teams. Backups don't get the reps you want when all of our games are close. Well, except for Nebraska last year.

I love the home uni's, but I wonder if Iowa would choose to play in white to help keep cool. I guess it probably wouldn't make that much of a difference?

This temperature plays right into North Texas play book. It has been in the low to mid 90's if not hotter since September 1 in Dallas. They run up tempo. They will try and pull off a North Dakota State where they wore us out. It will be nasty for the fans in the stands. Not much breeze in the stadium.

Great point. Makes you wonder how the heat will affect our bigger guys on both sides of the line. Being a bigger guy myself I'd much rather deal with the cold than the heat. Fat guys hate heat.

Boy gonna be a nice 70 degrea in my living room.

Enjoy the game to anyone that goes.
