Hey Wide receivers Play early

This has to be the worst bunch of wide receivers going back to FXL in the early 70s. Of course part of it clearly is out OC who I think we all agree is really bad. And CJ has been bad as well. He just looks slow out there. I like Stanley from what I have seen and with a new OC (not named Ferentz) a golden opportunity for some talented wide receivers to play right away.

Don't worry, we've got some studs in this class that will come in and light it up.

Except one has left the class for sure, and another may be on way out (Holmes)

Just an FYI. Your title is wrong. I fixed it for you below.
You are welcome

HEY 2 STAR WIDE RECEIVERS PLAY EARLY

Too late and too much bad national publicity this year, especially over Eno to get a good one. We had better run the ball really well next year.

I am looking at you Oliver Martin.. Stay home and help the home town school. This team needs 1 decent WR.

They WR's are fine....it's the scheme and CJ that suck. Fact. That is all................

I think there's enough suck to go around to all 3. Hopefully, TWO of the 3 are gone after this year and we'll get a chance to see how right you are.

It's not any one thing. I think Kennedy hasn't done a good job at developing them. Not to mention Davis and his overall playcalling... Iowa got lucky Vandeberg is the player he is. I really really hope that Martin comes so that those two can have a season together. I think Martin would learn more from Vandeberg than the coaching staff almost... I think Martin will be a similar player to him and that's a great thing. If Martin can put some more weight on then I think he can be a more physical version of Vandeberg. I don't think Iowa's out of the woods on getting him yet and I really hope they do..
Scheel is the kid that's leaving me scratching my head. Is he hurt/nicked up? His PT has really been up and down and when he's been in there it's not like he's been targeted or had many plays ran his way. So talk about it being tough to evaluate him I just don't know what to think for sure about him. He's certainly as athletic as any of the receivers we have now. I just think a kid like him if he's healthy is just getting slowed down by the staffs inability to develop him/use him...

Others are having the same problems as us.

Sorry, I only meant to ad the Peanuts comic strip.

The WRs are NOT "fine". Some bad throws, yes, but the only balls some seem able to catch are those requiring yoga-like flexibility in order to catch them.

Bob. only one response to icky. nothing more, it's not worth it. "learn the game" or even easier.. " LTG".

Is it possible CJB hadn't been healthy all year and that's impacted the passing offense more than Davis who might be protecting him? Something just doesn't seem right, no roll outs and even more head scratching is no play action big play tries.

Riley seems to have become more comfortable out there. He improvised nicely on that throwback where he juked around and did some nice running. Maybe he's feeling it more now - and the punt return. A confidently player is a better player.

Still this group does not get off the line and get open very well.

I expect Nebraska to follow the same formula, stack the box, press the receivers.
