Hey Kirk Ferentz, RichRod just got a better bowl game.

If that doesn't want you to change your offensive coordinator, nothing will. A lame duck, slimy, "even their alumni don't want him" coach gets his team to the Gator.

I have to think he makes some changes. Two teams we took apart are in better bowls, because our offense tanked in the last four games.

I'm in San Diego, and I'll watch this on TV.

Ummmm, we beat Michigan.

Rich Rod didn't get his team to a better bowl game than Ferentz, it was Michigan's FANS, and history that got them to a better bowl. Rich Rod really had nothing to do with it.

Ummmm, he coaches Michigan, I believe he may have had a hand in their 7 wins as the head coach. The same number of wins as Iowa. The point is, Ferentz underachieved and he needs to address the issues...not give the old, injuries killed us...blah, blah, blah. All teams have injuries late in the year. Injuries didn't cost us Wisconsin, NW, and Minnesota. The fact that our offense could get first downs and score points on lame defenses did. Time to make some adjustments to your staff.

I get Michigan has a huge alumni. Do you think the gator would have taken Michigan over Iowa if Iowa had 8 wins. Doubtful.

Insight Bowl has higher payout than Gator Bowl. Insight has 3rd highest outside the BCS bowls. Insight is better. Just because a bowl game doesn't fall in the New Year doesn't mean it isn't a good bowl game. If that was the case then we should want to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl played on January 6 in Mobile, AL or the BBVA Compass Bowl on January 8 in Birmingham, AL

Outstanding deduction. You're obviously very gifted.

This. And the fact that Rich Rod failed to get Michigan to a bowl game the past two years, so fans are hungrier than ever.

Iowa has benefited over the years from being picked ahead of teams for bowls so I am not at all upset by them going over Iowa.

We need to make tweaks, but firing KOK isn't going to change a thing. He's doing what KF wants.

Michigan made a "better" bowl game because of their fans. They won 7 games, just like us. And they beat who, exactly? It's got NOTHING to do with how good the teams are, and EVERYTHING to do with money. Michigan brings more money.

If you're waiting for KF to fire KOK, you're gonna be waiting quite awhile. Just dumb thinking in my opinion if you expect it to happen

The national audience would be much more entertained watching a poor but explosive Michigan team than a poor and boring Iowa team.

KF has said publicly he thinks KOK does a good job. So who's wrong - KF or the fans?

Well let's just fire Ferentz and be done with it. Things aren't going to change drastically without doing that.

I think we need to add a few wrinkles, but I don't see the need for total overhaul. And firing KOK won't change the offense, because Ferentz wants that uber-conservative approach. The guy he would hire to replace KOK would run the same offense. I think he (KF) needs to loosen up a little. Not go Oregon, but just be more flexible.

Correct. And Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So what do you make of the thousands of threads calling for KOK's head when everyone knows that will never happen? Fanbase = insane?

Can't wait for JM to state that we are one of____fill in the number of BCS schools to play after Christmas in the last 8 years or some obscure stat. Used to be January bowl games but that kinda went down the Hawks leg.

One game before New Year's is NOT the end of the world. Good Lord people.
