While the morning guys on 670AM "The Score" out of Chicago were interviewing Gerry DiNardo today they mentioned DiNardo would have Urban Meyer and Coach Ferentz on his show Friday night at 9:00. So I went to The Big Ten Network website and an Illini tailgating show is scheduled to air at 9:00. Couldn't find info anywhere. Do you know anything?
Also, there is a poll question on "The Pulse's" page that asks, "For the Big Ten, which opponent is more important to defeat this weekend?"
Notre Dame vs. Michigan St
USC vs. Minnesota
Very strange. The last time I checked Iowa vs. Arizona was the only game with ranked teams this weekend. Why should anyone even care about USC for the next two years? And all this pandering to Notre Dame and their audience is getting old. They don't want to join the Big Ten and many of us could care less. "Behind the Scenes" on BTN (DiNardo and Glen Mason) opened with Notre Dame vs. Michigan St. as the big game in the Big Ten this weekend. I could understand if Notre Dame had actually beaten Michigan or were actually ranked. Brian Kelly may very well make them relevant again, someday. Notre Dame has their own network for crying out loud. It is called NBC. Are there that many Irish fans subscribing to BTN or tuning in? This reminds me of ESPN pimping every Yankees-Red Sox game as the big game whenever they play. Whether it is or not.
End of rant. Am I now banned?
