Hey Fry, an IHSAA update!

Ultimately the deciding factor for me with wanting them up a class or 2 is not that the families are wealthy, it's that their AD budgets dwarf the public schools. So they have better equipment and much higher salaried coaches who don't have to teach or have other full-time jobs besides being the coach.
Depending on the school. As stated earlier my kids attend a smaller private school in a smaller city (under 30k in population) and after working 20+ years in a public district and 2 years for the private school I can tell you that the public school district I was at a much larger athletic budget then the private school did and that the private school was dependent on activity fees, fund raisers, and donations. That's not to say that they were hurting, but the budget was no where near that of the local public schools. Given I'm sure it's a much different financial situation then what would often be seen in a larger city/metro area. In terms of salaries they pay roughly half of what coaches are making at local public schools.
