HEY, BTW...Only Hawk Women at Michigan State

Not necessarily a surprise

Spartans ranked #17 and are playing at home to a full house

Hawks didn't give up

And Lucy wasn't fouled on that layup, Right

I think they'll continue to get better but I also see them sort of being who they are ...
-- The obvious ... my LORD the turnovers! It ain't a youth problem when your starters / upper class are losing 16 balls ON AVERAGE.

-- Inconsistent / limited shooting from 3.

-- Singular ball handler with Lucy - who should really be your 2 so she can make a quick move to her mid-range game. Their half-court is about 50/50 between discombobulated spacing issues and beautiful ball movement. The ONLY time to run an extended half-court is to figure out how to get Hannah involved from the inside / out.

-- They just don't have a solid post game unless Hannah is back-to-basket. She's undersized. Heiden will be good but, like most bigs, is still adapting to this level. O'Grady has fallen off a cliff and is now mostly a big body who you hope can give you a handful of points and rebounds while Hannah and Heiden rest.

It's gonna be a 2 step forward / 1 step back sort of year. They'll make the dance but it'll be a pretty quick exit with just too many things that have to improve to be a top 20 team.

Excellent Post

Hard to be critical of Olsen asking what they need from her. She is the only ball handler on the squad.
I agree. It's just looks different with her so far. Most bad passes are bad decisions. A lot of her bad passes have been bad accuracy. She is awesome tho. Love watching her play.

Hawk men up

Is this going to be a continuation thread

WTF...!
I have it on and just sort of listening in the background. No shocker ... Iowa in a blowout. Maybe deserving a cupcake after just petering out and finding a way to lose against ISU.

However, I tend to hate these paper-tiger games when they shoot like 50+% from 3. They serve to reinforce bad habits that need to be corrected and makes me wonder why Sandfort can't make 'em when they count to get a quality win?
Oh, well ... Get some rest ... Pad some stats. They get this and NH for 2 more W's before a white knuckle conference season.

Fran could have put my man Riley in

He has 5 hard fouls to give, and he can rebound
