Here's what I don't get.....

What I was getting that in this day and age it is so easy to find things out, especially on people with records, that not doing the 10 seconds of work to dig in to this a little bit deeper could have saved everyone a lot of trouble. So in your example of 115 people that would be (115X10 seconds=1,550 second or about 20 minutes). If there isn't a GA or TM that couldn't spare 20 minutes to do this at the beginning of the school year then that is pretty sad.

At today's press conference KF said more than once something to the effect of part of his job is to shape or direct young people's lives. He failed in this case.

I just searched Brady Johnson on Iowa Courts Trial Search function and got 8 different dudes, many with similar birth years. Seriously, if I'm one of the GAs working on this (which would probably violate a ton of privacy laws) where does my job end? Am I supposed to go tracking down middle names now? Social security numbers?

And from a philosophical perspective, I just find the whole idea ridiculous. You can't teach boys to be men if you don't give them some independence. My parents never looked at anything regarding where I chose to live or with whom. That was my decision, and I had to live with the results of it, good or bad. Ditto DJK.

Lease? come on, be creative. a person can live in a place without a lease, without the landlord or anyone knowing. my gf lived with me, in a house i lived in. she had her own lease at an apt. with roommates, i had mine with roommates. she lived with me. her parents never knew and visited often. easy to do in djks instance, especially if he rented a house. he could rent it all by himself, and have a roommate off-lease.

Very true very true. But if that is the case then you dig a little deeper unless that work, or person is not worth it.

In my situation in college no. My dad would want to see the lease to make sure I wasn't getting screwed (in the lease which would name the tenants). In DJK's situation I actually think it would be easier to hide it from my parents than my football coach or someone that could relay the information to my coach however.

why do you think KF failed DJK? do you think DJK wouldn't have done drugs had he not lived with this guy? What has KF done to help DJK in the past with drugs? Do you think he's been in trouble with KF in the past? Why? Do you think KF was trying to direct this young person's life?

And how often do you check the players roommate - in your example. Do you check the roommate once a month, once a week, once a year, once a semester? roommates can come and go. imported exported. easy to get around protocols, you know what i mean?

I'm just shooting out ideas here so I don't disagree with you, but really doesn't seem that far out in space to take a little time to do this stuff, especially with the power of Captain Hindsight right now.

Im not disagreeing with you and I see your point of view. DJK failed KF too. I shouldn't have insinuated that it would be "easy" to keep track of all of this...rather that it would be possible to keep track of this with not an insane amount of effort.
