Here's a sobering thought.....

Your point is spot on, but it isn't the point. Yes, Iowa fans should have expectations and, yes, a coach in his 16th year should be driving the ship full steam ahead. But, this team has been highly mediocre all year. People were still saying playoffs halfway through THIS season.

If the brutal performances against UNI and Ball State weren't enough, the loss to Iowa State should have been the clincher.

Losing to an average Minnesota isn't so bad. We are average at best. It is how we lost. If this game had been a 28-21 or even 51-35 loss it wouldn't be so bad. But to lose 51-7 (the last TD doesn't count) to a team that going in Vegas was calling a pick em game, is embarrassing. KF should be embarrassed. Much like the Maryland game, we march down the field on the first drive, then tank. Total lack of preperation. When this game was getting out of hand in the 2nd quarter, KF stood there and watched it burn. He has seen this before and had the same reaction....no pulse, no change. It was obvious this team needed a spark. Nothing, no change...flat line. That's football.
9 games in this team still doesn't have an identity. In year 16 of this regime...unbelievable.
We MIGHT beat Illinois, we will not beat Wisconsin or Nebraska. They will run us over. Home game won't help

And, here's another sobering thought....my wife is getting home today after a long weekend with her girlfriends.....Let's see, I need to replace all her new China, and a new TV, and I have at least 3 bags of beer cans, and I need to find her favorite mini daschund, Stella.....boys & girls, I have a lot of work (or a lot of explaining) to do

Here's another sobering thought...

I woke up today and realized that Iowa's 51-14 loss to a crap Minny team was not a bad dream.
KF is still the coach.
GD is still the OC
JR is still the QB.
I still have season tickets for the last 2 home games. Ugh.

No more 'F'-n or GD coaches. Bob Stoops would be good. I'd go with this, but money would be huge.

I would like to see what Chris Kleiman would do. NDSU's coach. He can flat out coach. NDSU is 9-0 and 28th in Sagarin's. He is a Waterloo native and attended UNI. The only thing is whether or not he can recruit with the big boys. We know KF can't. He wouldn't command a lot of money up front.

He's been there one year... the coach that built NDSU is at Wyoming...
