Here's a sobering thought.....

And some people thought this team could get into the playoffs. To take on a team like Florida State or Oregon or Auburn.

I know what a freaking joke! Look folks a team that cannot beat a bad ISU team at home and requires a miracle rally to beat Ball St is going to the playoffs? Ok!

Reality check.... we got CRUSHED by a marginal Minny 51-14!

as if you need anymore today.

This team is bowl eligible. Can't wait..........

.......and the coach receives a bonus equal to one month's salary ($300,000 plus) to attain membership in any bowl including those that only require 6 wins.

It's all a part of expectations that some have of the program.

You clearly haven't been watching scores. As of now ND and Auburn are losing. If those 2 scores hold up the door might reopen.

Yeah, how could a fan base expect a coach in his 16th season field a team capable of winning a championship? I'm not one that thinks Iowa could have made the NCAA playoff, but this coach has under achieved this season, so far, and that is a very sad state of affairs, in year 16.

WOW!!!!!

51-14. And this against a team that hadn't perfected the forward pass until they met Iowa. Time for a massive firing. Clean house. Bring in the next over paid coach.

Thanks, Hawkeye1, I was fearful of reading the football threads after the slaughter, worse than the Arizona State massacre a few years ago, because it was the gophers.....

Watched it with my daughter, and told her to look up the goal post hijacking. It was the highlight of today's game. She laughed.....

I have no words to describe today's game.....

As they say: wait until next.. cycle? Can KF generate another cycle?

Make KF so miserable he leaves. At least, then, we'd both be miserable. That's my new slogan for Iowa football.

No more 'F'-n or GD coaches. Bob Stoops would be good. I'd go with this, but money would be huge.

I would like to see what Chris Kleiman would do. NDSU's coach. He can flat out coach. NDSU is 9-0 and 28th in Sagarin's. He is a Waterloo native and attended UNI. The only thing is whether or not he can recruit with the big boys. We know KF can't. He wouldn't command a lot of money up front.

I know the Big Ten needs a certain number of teams to fulfill their bowl commitments, but if we go 6-6 I hope someone has enough sense to decline any invitation.
