Here's a Good Basabe Article...

Shane, I totally agree!!! This kid is going to be known as Caff's first recruit and sounds like he could be a genuine stud in the coming years!! The competition he played against and how he performed is ultra impressive and will translate well to the Big Ten. He is a smart kid too. Looking forward to watching this kid and team next season!

I also hope that Darius Stokes will learn a lot from Melsahn and that he's still growing too...both seem to be along the same lines of late blooming, with Melsahn being quicker to figure himself out.

I think it would be incredible if Darius did blossom and became key in turning this program around with Marble Jr. Far fetched perhaps but not impossible. What a great story that would be.

Good read, thanks for the link Shane. Really like what I'm hearing about this kid. Could see him getting significant minutes in the front court this year.

Athletic wing span...something we haven't seen recently at Iowa. You do however see it on all the big time program players!!!!

Call me crazy but his strengths remind me of Amare Stoudamire, obviously im not expecting that from him but thats who his game reminds me of.

My favorite line: "not a typical AAU player whose butt has been kissed since they were in 8th grade."

That is what I love to read. There are a too many groomed players out there.

I think we should relax with the comparisons to an NBA all star. I know you meant just their games but peple see that and expectations go through the roof. He is no where close to the same size.

I hope you all enjoyed the write up.

Again i said game, not size and i said i dont expect him to be him, but his first step and runs the floor well compares to amare's style of play. Also when i mentioned strengths i didnt mean physical i meant the strengths listed in the article.
