Here lies Michigan RIP

Is the Big Ten West the better division?

Minny over Michigan
jNW over Penn State

ABC (in game) announcers saying Minny should be the favorite in the West. I think one of them said Iowa does nothing for them....

Have you watched our offense this year. They do nothing for me either and I pee black and gold. The offense is an absolute train wreck

My blood pressure didn't even go up today the closeness of the score the ineptitude of the offense the brilliance of the D in the 2nd half again. I barely had a pulse watching this game. Total YAWNER.

I love seeing MeatChicken struggle. Anyone remember Hoke's "WE'RE MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Press conference his first year? He was trying to make sure everyone knew how mighty and superior his football program is/was.

Whoops.

If anyone needs to see an example of how recruiting rankings really don't mean all that much, please see the Michigan Wolverines, circa 2014. The end.

Kill kill.

Ah, Yes, Kill kills....

He doesn't look like a killer, but then they say serial killers look like your next door neighbor.....

It's great to see michigan play like 8th graders...it just really sucks iowa doesn't get them.

Brandon is safe as can be. Stephen Ross, who just gave $100 million to the athletic dept, is a huge Brandon supporter. As long as Ross supports him, he's safe....

Then I suppose that if you want to know who the next coach will be, ask Stephen Ross. Something tells me that there is a fair portion of that $100 mil earmarked for Harbough.

I didn't think I'd ever say this. But I agree completely with you. I felt the same way.

Amazing how one bad hire can eff up everything. richrod was a bad hire and it just set off a domino effect. Even if Michigan can hire Harbaugh it is going to take a minute to dig out of this hole.

^Hoke did have some pretty good recruiting classes. Harbaugh might be able to whip them into shape relatively quick.

When it happens at a school like Michigan, it can be fixed relatively easy given their brand equity as it relates to recruiting. a bad hire can absolutely kill a school like iowa.

I wouldn't say "easily" given their struggles since 2007 (excepting 2011). But relative to Iowa, yes, Iowa has even less margin for error.

yeah - i kind of said that wrong - just shows that a bad hire or two can hurt even a team like michigan. what i meant to say was if they get the right coach things can be turned around quickly....they obviously haven't gotten the right guy hired.

a bad hire can really hurt iowa - who, compared to michigan, is at a significant recruiting disadvantage.

the 2011 - the current guy winning with the previous guys recruits - i think the current guy has now lost the team. but i think he has been recruiting well - has some players in the stables.

The last few years when Ferentz has been doing stupid things and some were calling for his head..I stood by him and Michigan was one of the reasons. First RichRod. A program bigger and better than Iowa who failed with the hire..now this guy has failed too.

But this year after failing to look competent the first two games against crappy teams, and outcoached and beaten by one of the worst coaches in the nation. I want him gone. I know any time you hire a new coach it's a gamble, but Ferentz is so worthless that he can't beat Iowa ******* State? Time to roll the ******* dice. If you're a worse coach than Paul Rhodes..you need to go.

I don't think your alone on this one. When I watched Baylor dissect the clowns in the first half I was sick to my stomach. How did we let that program beat us??? In my opinion I think Baylor is over rated. Like the announcer said during the second half, Baylor hasn't played anyone good yet.

The Look on KF's face when ISU kicked that winning field goal against us was a look of "I effed this one away by playing way to conservative" Today I've seen him do things that are so un Kirk like. I don't know if it's the fan base being so fed up. I don't know if there is heat coming from the administration. Maybe the national media is influencing him. I don't know what it is but Kirk is not himself. A full year of watching Jake C and Vandy at QB despite how horrible they were was almost more than any college loving football fan could take. CJ starting was a big change, and maybe it was only due to the injuries to Jake that caused it. However KF not kicking a short field goal that would have put us up by three scores in the second half???? Don't get me wrong as I was all for it even though it failed.

Have the body snatchers taken over KF's body???? It's like maybe he has realized that most fans would rather go down fighting like a man rather than B!tchslapping like an alternative life style individual would.

If he continues to coach like he wants to win rather than playing not to lose then I am open to see how this all plays out. If he goes back into his conservative Kirk mode then why not roll the dice? Life is to short to go through it like a frightened little girl.
