Here is what's going to happen tomorrow.....

Because of the criticism he's faced, and because of NW's poor pass defense, Kirk is going to unleash Vandenberg and the vertical passing game. Look for 3-4 TD passes and 300+ yards from Vandy, as Iowa wins easily.

Never give up on Kirk. He'll get the job done, just like he has in the past.

And what about the 2nd half? Go conservative and rush RB's into the line until they are knocked silly even though receivers are standing all alone at the goal line?

Nope....the Hawks will be attack mode thru the whole game (at least until they are up several scores with only 1/2 of the 4th quarter to play...then Kirk will call off the dogs).

After last week and the backlash from the fans, Kirk has something to prove tomorrow. Just watch and see what happens.

Why does it take a backlash from fans to get his a$$ motivated in the first place?

He will unleash him in the 2nd half when the hawks fall behind by 3 scores - but not before. It's about process you know.

Yeah just like he unleashed him during the second half of the Penn State game last week.

Here is what will happen. JVB will throw the ball 100 mph into the ground or over a receiver's head, he will miss wide open receivers, and he will feel a warm liquid on his leg when he is pressured.

You may ask, but DJL, how can you be so negative? It's simple, I've watched every game this year, and until he proves me wrong, this is what I think will happen every Saturday. To win, we must rush for 200 yards, and have a HUGE advantage in TOP. Our defense does not do well against a QB who can actually through the ball.

You're drinking some serious kool-aid my friend. I don't doubt that Iowa will play better than they did last week (hard NOT to), but I just haven't seen anything this year to make me realistically think that JVB is suddenly going to go for 300+ with 3-4 TD's. Stranger things have happened I guess, but logic says otherwise.

At best, I could see an ugly win ala @MSU a couple weeks ago.

That's A LOT of 3-5 yard outs. So his stats would something like this. 112 of 160 w/350 yds passing 4TDS Avg 3.1 yards a pass.

Good thing NW doesn't have one of those.

It's possible. I could see Iowa getting a couple of 70+ yard plays on this secondary. I wouldn't call those stats likely by any means, but it's possible even for someone as shaky as JVB.

I could also see Iowa getting about 100 yards passing and no touchdowns.

I think this may happen. KF has been setting up the conference. He has held the offense back. Ran off tackle all season long. Thrown 3 yard passes. He was just sucking defense up into a 5 yard box near the line of scrimmage. Now he is going to unleash a bunch of fly patterns off play action against single coverage.

KF is a mastermind. This will work. And this is why we post here and KF makes $4 million a year.

Not full meltdown, there will be the KF positive pack hoping to win out for a shot at a directional Michigan school in the Motor City Bowl.

Interesting I didn't realize it was only the "KF positive pack" that wanted to win out. I guess that would mean the majority of true fans want to lay eggs the rest of the season? Sorry dude, but I see a great deal of fail in your post. It's more than possible to want this team to win out while hoping for future changes in coaching philosophy and the way things are handled. I wouldn't label fans who still want this team to succeed as "KF positive pack"

I'm still waiting!!!! Three point unleashing is getting to hard to take.
