I don't know what else BSU has to prove. They bring 21 starters next year, and they will finish this season ranked (probably) #3.

However, they play VT early next year. If VT is in the top 5 and BSU beats them, they should rightly be in the driver's seat for the title game.

How good is Iowa in bowl games? Really good. One of the reasons for this is that they are healed and healthy after the beatdown that is the B10 schedule. When you play a joke of a schedule like BSU does, you don't ever really get hurt. you gain continuity. you don't need to "take one game at a time" like the Hawks need to do. you really can gun for those one or 2 games when there is a chance you could lose. this past summer/fall BSU could literally prepare only for OR from the start of fall camp.
