Help? Tailgating question

I am venturing into new territory Saturday - not arriving in Iowa City by 7 a.m. and not setting up my tailgating tent, etc. I can't roll into town until 11:30 a.m. so foregoing the tailgating and instead wondering if any of you can recommend where to grab a bite to eat and a beverage without having to stand in line for an hour? Any recommendations? Most likely will catch the Hawkeye Express train to Kinnick. Welcome your two cents. Thanks and Go Hawks!

I don't know of anywhere, if you mean tailgate tents where you can pay to get in, pay for drinks and food, etc. Maybe I'm blind, but I've never seen that at Iowa. I only know of downtown. I'd go to the 'Liner. I bet you can get a seat without too much wait.

If you are going to take the Hawkeye Express. Park at the mall and there are plenty of places to eat either in the Mall or at the places down around the Coralville strip. Then you can just walk across the street and catch the train.

Best bet at that time of day is go downtown, park in the ramp, eat at any of the fine establishments and then get on the bus on the North side of the mall.

Yep. Chili's is on the SW side of the mall. Also Bennigan's in the mall. There's a Boston's close to the mall as well. There are some others to.
