There is a lot of baseball still being played in Iowa. If he can keep the home-grown talent here, and fill in the roster with specific needs, he will do well.

Agreed. I'd expand this from Iowa to Midwest. The challenge would seem to be pitching depth.

To get southerners to come north and play ball will be a long get. South Alabama, Dallas Baptist, and SE Louisiana are going to get southern leftovers.
