Heisman acceptance

The Heisman doesn't represent a great college athlete anymore. It represents the greatest college athlete with the biggest and crudest mouth these days. The Heisman is a joke imo and it makes college football look stupid. OU has had some real winners.First the Boz and now this real piece of work BM.

The a-hole never fit ALL the criteria for that award, well what it's supposed to represent anyway. He never should have won it. I can maybe give a player the benefit of the doubt with one discretion, they go on to learn and don't do anything again, but Mayfield's a total tool. I hope he fizzes out in the NFL like Johny Boy.

I've lost a lot of respect for the Heisman anymore and after this won't put much stock into it as it has gone away from the principles that made it a great trophy to begin with. Even the Heisman has sold out.

Those with Heisman ballots can end this acceptance of candidates with less than sterling behavior by either not voting or writing in names of players exhibiting the qualities first exemplified by the early award winners. Given my impression of sports media members they don't have any more values than a Baker Mayfield character.

There are a lot of worse things in the world. We had the election choice of a groper and a criminal and grouper pedophile enabler. You read what an Iowa elected official said recently?

I've never understood why we act indignant about behavior when we are fans of what really is a corrupt undustry. We expect a sugar coated turd.

I dunno, my retirement and investments have been kicking azz since the election results. As long as the country is ran decently and the economy is healthy. All those other issues are between that individual the the higher up, IMO. I didn't even care that Bill Clinton was getting his jollies while in office. To me, that and running the country are two separate entities.

Look at actual growth and gdp compared to debt. Its scary.

Look at equities compared to gdp. 1999 was higher than 2007. We are quite a bit higher than 1999.

Essentially its debt fueled equities. What could go wrong?

That is exactly what I was thinking when Baker Mayfield started weeping during his acceptance speech. The debt to gdp ratio is what people should be looking at. When the corporate tax rate is cut, it will be made up when that profit is passed on to shareholders or invested. It should all be so clear.

Sounds a bit PSUish. Long as were winning...

His college playing days were a bit much.

As in awesome? I agree. Kid could ball. Better LB than anyone who has ever come through IC except for maybe Tippett. I'd like to see Greenway, Hitchens or Bo Bowyer try to tackle Bo Jackson. They wouldn't have even caught the guy.
